Our Mission
The Newly Institute is leading a paradigm shift in the Canadian healthcare system by building a network of purpose-built psychology and mental health clinics across Canada. The Newly Institute was founded by a team of medical experts that saw a gap in the mental health programs available to all Canadians. The team met with individuals across the country who communicated their lived experiences, Psychiatrists and Psychologists who shared best practices, and senior healthcare leaders who envisioned a brighter future for mental health. Equipped with these valuable insights the Newly was built based on the philosophy of rapid access and rapid resolution by getting to the core of an individuals mental health concerns.
The Newly’s mission is to provide pioneering innovative intensive outpatient mental health programs that will provide long lasting change in the industry. The Newly recognized that the delivery of psychology-based programs in the community and the public system often focuses on seeing individual healthcare providers once a week and expecting that over time clients will improve. However, substantial medical evidence shows that if you bring clinicians together in a bio-psycho-social-spiritual interdisciplinary treatment model and provide care in an evidence based intensive outpatient program clients get better faster, and the faster they improve the significantly more likely they are to return to work and a healthy lifestyle.
The Newly
We treat the root causes of mental health and addiction.
Our practice was founded to provide long-lasting change within this industry, our community, and with our clients. Data supports Rapid Resolution of suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more (source: Current Treatment Options in Psychiatry). Often people suffering with trauma and severe mental health also struggle with addiction and chronic pain.
Our revolutionary treatment model uses our proprietary medical protocols and purpose built psychology clinics to provide medically enhanced psychotherapy as part of an intensive outpatient program focusing on evidence based trauma therapy.
By fusing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment model with medical-assisted therapies, patients may overcome deeply embedded traumas that prevent them from living fully in their everyday lives. Our programs are based on evidence and data, but our approach is personal because we know it’s vital that people feel safe to be vulnerable during this process.
The Newly also understands that treating mental health is more than just building clinics, we have assembled expert clinical teams and ground-breaking programs that provide space for individuals to work on their wellbeing, feel safe, develop trust, and realize their goals. The result is a curriculum based on the best available medical and complementary evidence delivered by expert teams to help those overcome with deeply embedded PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, and pain that are preventing them from living fully in their everyday lives.
