"Do not speak badly of yourself, for the warrior that is inside you hears your words and is lessened by them." - David Gemmell

Jasmine Paredes is a registered Occupational Therapist (OT) who has experience working with those who have sustained a traumatic psychological injury from their workplace, as well as those with operational stress injuries from military and police service. She understands the complex interactions between a person, their environment, and occupations, and how application of coping strategies and adaptation in an environment can be of the utmost importance. Her mission is to enhance the well-being, independence, and sense of safety for those who are affected by physical and/or mental impairment, in hopes of finding what is meaningful for each person and how it can foster inspiration and healing.

Jasmine is trained in several trauma modalities such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She uses a bio-psycho-social model to promote engagement in daily activities, while also focusing on the management of symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain.

The Newly Institute takes an evidence-based medical approach to develop Intensive Outpatient Programs for mental health, addiction, and chronic pain. We believe in a holistic approach to mental well being and employ a bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment model to help our clients live their best lives.
