Kayla is a Registered Social Worker who has a diverse background in working in a community and teaching setting.  Kayla graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Education in 2013 and initially embarked on a journey in teaching for several years. However, driven by a passion for holistic well-being and community support she transitioned into the realm of social work. Kayla received her Bachelors in Social work at Dalhousie University.  Kayla has experience working with diverse populations, particularly in the field of Mental Health and Addictions.

Kayla is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Kayla recognizes the importance of a work-life balance and outside of work enjoys spending time with her family, friends and two cats, relaxing in nature, stand-up comedy shows, and playing board games.
