Emily obtained her Master of Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University after completing her undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science. She has always had an interest in both the scientific and humanistic levels of mental and physical health, and feels strongly both are necessary components to treatment and recovery of the same. Emily is trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She previously worked in the community where she assisted individuals through treatment of PTSD, pain, anxiety and depression, and TBI.

Emily believes each individual is the expert of their experiences, and her treatment approach is to foster an environment where this can be embraced and evolved. Using a client-centered approach, Emily encourages individuals to be active participants in their recovery and to guide their goals to align with personal values. Emily is grateful to be a part of your journey and looks forward to working together.
