Clients entering the Mental Health Core IOP will first participate in a detailed assessment and treatment planning process. Once starting treatment, clients will engage with The Newly Institute five days per week. The Mental Health Core IOP includes the use of trauma-focused treatments such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as a robust curriculum of mental health skills and resiliency training to help clients get well and stay well. This curriculum utilizes concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)Mindfulness and other evidence-based therapies.

Day 1:
  • Individual EMDR or Accelerated Resolution Therapy [2 hours]
  • Intentional Grounding [0.5 hours]

Day 2
  • Acceptance Commitment Therapy [1-2 hours]

Day 3:

Day 4:

  • Trauma-Informed Drumming [2 hours]
  • Artistic Therapy [1.5hours]
  • Individual therapy as directed by your treatment team (if needed) [2 hours]
  • Optional Chronic Pain Wellness Program [2.5 hours]
