Vanessa earned her BA in Psychology (2014) and BSc in Nursing (2016) from the University of Ottawa. Since then, she has been dedicated to the field of mental health, working across various settings including youth services, maternal mental health, an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, and diverse mental health clinics.

Vanessa’s approach is grounded in compassion, empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. She is passionate about helping others recognize the importance of connecting with their emotions as a vital step toward living a meaningful, values-based life. Vanessa has a particular interest in how shame and internal narratives shape our sense of self. By addressing these elements and reshaping internal narratives, individuals can cultivate greater self-compassion and embrace a more authentic way of living. With her attuned presence, she fosters an environment where individuals feel safe, seen, and empowered throughout their healing journeys.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys working on creative projects, immersing herself in music, exploring the city & trails on her e-bike, spending time in the mountains, and enjoying the company of animals, specifically hounds of any kind.
