“If we climb high enough, we will reach a height from which tragedy ceases to look tragic.”- Irv Yalom

I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years specializing in developmental trauma and issues related to trauma. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS Informed), Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT), and other cognitive and existential approaches. I draw from these frameworks in my work with clients in an effort to make the intervention fit client needs.

I believe that human beings are meaning-making creatures situated in a messy world. Despite our differences, most of us want to lead purposeful lives we define and create for ourselves. Given the right circumstances to thrive, we can engage in the self-discovery and exploration that is the stuff of being human. When conditions are right, we can find our place within the unavoidable tensions of life.

My role as your therapist is NOT to provide you with an answer (once you meet me, you will see I am not that kind of person). I believe each person has their own innate wisdom. My job is it is to create a space for you to feel safe enough to make meaning of your experiences and memories.
